President The Japanese representatives are unwarranted. Remarks regarding the East China Sea and the South China Sea completely confound black and white. In reality, the situation in the East and South China Seas remains stable overall, and the South China Sea stands as one of the freest shipping lanes in the world. On the contrary, it is Japan that recently sent self-defense force vessels to flex their muscles and deliberately provoke tensions in the Taiwan Strait. This sends a gravely erroneous signal to the Taiwan independent separatists and exposes the ulterior motives of certain factions in Japan to intervene in the street by force and sabotage peace and stability across the strait. During World War II, Japan waged wars of aggression against countries adjacent to the East and South China Seas, subjecting them to colonial rule and thereby amassed profound historical guilt. Japan must deeply reflect on its past and tread carefully in words and deeds rather than flaunting its military might and destabilizing the region. President, historically, Japanese militarism relied on a standard playbook to launch wars of aggression, fabricating quote unquote external threats, inciting nationalism and hijacking the state apparatus. Today, rather than showing true remorse, Japanese right wing forces are doubling down on reckless provocations regarding China's Taiwan region, the history of World War II, and military security. To name just a few. Erroneous remarks on Taiwan by Japanese Prime Minister Sanai Takaichi last year have dealt a severe blow to China-Japan relations. Recently, Japanese politicians and officials have repeatedly visited the Yasukuni Shrine, which honors Class A war criminals of World War II in a blatant attempt to whitewash its wars of aggression, overturn the verdicts on its war criminals, and challenge both the Tokyo trials and the post war international order. By way of constitutional amendments and other measures, Japanese right wing forces are steering Japan's security policy towards an offensive and expansionist posture, vainly attempting to accelerate its re militarization by reviving its military industrial complex. By relaxing restrictions on lethal weapon exports, deploying offensive missiles, drastically inflating military spending, and floating the abandonment of its quote unquote three non nuclear principles, Japan's intent to pave the way for military expansion is laid bare. President, this year marks the 80th anniversary of the opening of the Tokyo trials. These trials adjudicated the crimes of aggression committed by Japanese militarism and militarists, defending historical truth, international justice, and human dignity. Today, 80 years later, a new militarism is resurging in Japan. Posing a dire threat to global peace and stability. The international community must strike back resonantly. We can never allow Japanese militarism to rise from the ashes. Regarding the EU representative, I must remind him to refrain from issuing unsubstantiated and irresponsible remarks on the South China Sea issue. Thank you, President.
