🇮🇱 Israel, 🇮🇷 Islamic Republic of Iran
its right of reply. I remind you once again of the provisions of paragraph nine and ten of Annex V of the Rules of Procedure of the General Assembly in terms of the number of interventions and the speaking time limit that you have. I invite the delegations to keep within those speaking time limits. I will now give the floor to the dist delegate of the State of Israel. Thank you, uh Madam Chair. Madam Chair, time and again we are astonished by the politics Madam Chair, time and again we are astonished by the politicization and the empty empty accusations in this room. I understand that some delegations have apparently decided to abuse every legal item discussed in this respected legal forum as an opportunity to promote their neopolitical agendas. Today, I was shocked by the Iranian regime's statement on behalf of the non aligned movement. First of all, I believe it is a shame that too many Member States abandoned their coordinated statement in the hands of the cruel fundamentally stero funding regime. And I cannot believe it was a real coordinated statement. It was an embarrassing mixture of empty accusations made by the producer of fake news, the Iranian regime, otherwise known as the main sponsor of Hamas, the genocidal terrorist organization. It was embarrassing, first of all, since I believe the Iranian regime on behalf of the NAM should read or listen to the news. Or for the very least, listen to the statement delivered in this room. They called three times in their speech for the ceasefire in Gaza. As far as I know, there is a ceasefire in Gaza for more than a week now. Hamas is the one who is threatening the ceasefire now with its blatant violation of the agreement that was reached. Madam Chair. Time and again, we are astonished to see the failure to acknowledge the responsibility of the Palestinian terrorist organization, notably Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, for the countless victims of their terrorist attacks. Moreover, the speakers in this room have repeatedly misrepresented reality and outlied and outright lied, distorting the facts on the ground in a blatant attempt to demonize and delegitimize and for all intents the purpose demonize Israel. Let me briefly set the record straight. Israel is engaged in a fight which is neither initiated nor thought for the purpose of protecting its citizens and against all against those who seek its destruction. Israel's war was, is and will be only with Hamas and other terrorist groups, not against civilians, and we will have we have taken significant steps to minimize civilian casualties. Moreover, Israel has constant consistently cooperated in facilitating humanitarian aid in order to alleviate the suffering of the civilians who are tragically affected by this conflict. This is not the place to address each of these false and harmful allegations. However, we are prepared to refute them in detail in the appropriate form. The focus of international forums that take pride in their dedication to impartial justice should be on Hamas, the Palestinian Islam Islamic Jihad, the Houthis, and the Iranian regime, who shamelessly deliver statements in this room on behalf of the Nam, rather than on those that seek to protect themselves from attacks by these groups. While I did not I while I did not intend to participate in yet another session deal with the Israeli Palestinian conflict, since I'm compelled to do so, let me be clear. The true threat to peace and security and to the Charter of the UN is the threat of terrorism committed by the Palestinian terrorist group and the Iranian and the Iranian regime. Sorry. The most effective way to protect both Palestinians and Israelis from this threat is through the eradication of this terrorist threat. Make no mistake. And if we want to further discuss issues which are out of context of this agenda item, Hamas and its sponsors, including the Iranian regime, are the ones responsible for the situation in Gaza. Hamas is the one who cowardly fight from within the dense urban population, uses civilians and human shields, and is and consequently directly responsible for the destruction in Gaza. Hamas is the one who is still holding the remains of the 19 fallen hostages in Gaza, a blatant violation of international law and their agreement that was reached on this matter. Madam Chair, earlier this week, the Jewish people around the world marked Simcha Torah, a festival that celebrates the completion of the annual reading of the Torah, the five five books of the Hebrew Bible. For generations, Simcha Torah has been one of the most joyful and holy days in our calendar. A day of dancing, singing, and gratitude for the gift of life and faith. But two years ago, on October 7, 2023, this holy day turned into a day of an unimaginable disaster. On that morning, while families gathered in prayer and celebration, Hamas stories stormed our communities in southern Israel, murdering, burning, and abducting innocent men, women, and children. From that day on, Simchatora can no longer be a day of joy alone. It is now carries unbearable memory of a human suffering, a catastrophe born of hatred and cruelty. And yet, this year, according to the Jewish lunar calendar, Simchatora has returned with a new and fragile light of hope. On that very day, on that very day, Two years after that dark morning, twenty of our hostages were finally reunited with their loved ones, ending two long years of captivity in the hands of Hamas' terrorists who turned, who tortured, starved, and withheld them from all their basic needs, food, water supply, and medical care. Our joy this year was mixed with tears, because we will never forget the victims of the massacre. We will never forget more than 80 hostages who were murdered in captivity by Hamas, and we will never forget the 19 fallen hostages whose bodies are still held by Hamas, denied even the dignity of burial. We call and demand their immediate release. Madam Chair, after the Jewish holiday of Simcha Torah, following the completion of the annual reading of the Torah, the Jewish people began once again, returning to the very first word of the Bible, Genesis chapter 1, Lehatchil mi bereshit. Simchatora teaches us that after every cycle of darkness we begin a new chapter with faith, with life, and with hope that humanity will rise above any challenge. We will rise above any act of hatred and cruelty that seeks to break our spirit. We will prevail. Thank you, Madam Chair.
Thank you, Madam Chair. It's really a dark iron irony uh witnessing the shameless Israeli regime delegation abusing this meeting. Which is considering agenda item related to the Charter of the United Nations while their genocidal regime is shredding the United Nations Charter and Geneva Convention in Gaza, and we all remember that their ambassador, their delegation, also shredded into pieces the Charter of the United Nations in the General Assembly last year. I'm sure that everyone remembers that. It's a really dark irony in an occupying regime, which is in its entirety on the basis of occupation, is shamelessly addressing this meeting. Of course, in exercise of our right of reply, I do not see that there is any need to even address those fabrications and vulgar statements of the Israeli regime, but I feel compelled to touch upon a few points. Right now, the Israeli regime is committing genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity in the region. It is not only using starvation as a method of warfare, but is actively implementing a starvation extermination scheme, which is to target and kill Palestinians who are already starved by the Israeli regime. Even before any humanitarian assistance is delivered to them. The genocidal apartheid regime of Israeli regime is committing genocide within genocide. And I'm sure that the legal parlance utterly falls short of describing the full magnitude and gravity of the crimes that this heinous regime is committing in the region. The court's provisional orders in the genocide case. And its most recent and relevant advisory opinions demonstrated once again the excruciating situation that Palestinians are struggling now and also have been grappling with over decades. Occupation, violence, discrimination, terrorism, exploitation of natural resources, confiscation of properties, demolition of properties, forced displacement, restriction on movement of Palestinians in their own homeland. Denial and impairment of nearly all categories of human rights, including the right to self-determination, are now conjoined with the daunting and exponentially increased rate and frequency of attacks killing Palestinians or otherwise deliberately inflicting serious bodily and mental harm against them in an intentionally induced condition of life that aim to bring about the physical destruction of the Palestinian population. All these deliberately and maliciously committed by the Israeli regime. The extent of danger and threats that the regime poses to the international peace and security are self evident for the world. The isolated regime of Israel could not whitewash its horrendous crimes by spreading lies and disinformation. Everyone knows their true, criminal, and occupationist nature. The international community must stop the unbridled, egregious crimes of the Israeli regime. The Israeli regime policy and practice of terrorism in the region is brazenly evolved into various forms and manifestations in terms of victims, means, methods, and instrumentalities, which include misusing and exploiting information and communication technologies for terrorist purposes such as weaponization and explosion of handheld communication devices, misuse of unmanned aerial vehicles aligned with artificial intelligence for conducting mass terrorist attacks, including against my country. Use of chemical agents, willful and permeated terrorist attacks against internationally protected persons, including diplomatic representatives, which includes our ambassador in Lebanon and our embassy in Syria, targeting diplomatic premises and diplomatic zones, as we witnessed in Qatar by the Israeli regime, and brutal assassination of civilians, including scientists and academicians, and terrorism by the occupying settlers, which is supported, financed, organized, and planned by the genocidal Israeli regime. The men's of the Israeli criminals in perpetrating terrorism is evident, demonstrating terrorism on the basis of hatred, xenophobia, racism, supremism in tandem with genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and other egregious crimes. And it was really disappointing to see that the Israeli regime delegation is misusing Jewish people and Judaism. To justify their horrendous crime, indeed there is no relation between faith, between Judaism, between Christians, and also other faiths, and what they're doing. They are trying to misrepresent the Jewish people. They are trying to whitewash their horrendous crimes, but it is futile. Everyone knows the true criminal nature of the Israeli regime and the threat it poses to the international peace and security. The countless terrorist attacks conducted by the Israeli regime against civilians, including against our people. Last June. And also scientists and officials of member states and numerous other instances of terrorist attacks planned, organized, financed, carried out, or otherwise supported and facilitated by the Israeli genocidal regime, and its policy and practice of conducting terrorism is the source of instability, violence, terror, and terrorism in the region and beyond. The international community should take effective measures to prevent the occupying genocidal regime of Israel from committing terrorist attacks, and to hold it accountable, fully accountable for every single life it has taken, including women and children. Thank you.
