🇧🇭 BahrainFirst replyin response to Islamic Republic of Iran
Shukran Saint Rice. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I have requested the right of reply on behalf of the GCC, namely the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, and my country, the Kingdom of Bahrain. I was compelled to respond to the intervention by the representative of Iran, which has included a number of allegations that are baseless and groundless, and they represent an attempt to distort reality and inverse it, to uh justify actions that have been internationally condemned. The allegation that Iran is exercising self defense is uh illogical and uh uh cannot be justified by Article fifty one of the UN Charter. We also reject the allegations related to the uh responsibility of our states uh uh uh within the military operations. And we emphasize that uh Iran is in violation of international law and Security Council resolutions, in particular Security Council resolution twenty one eight uh eighty seven uh or rather twenty eight seventeen. Um and uh we call on Iran to refrain from any actions that threaten the s the safety of navigation and we also recall uh human rights uh uh the human rights council resolution that was adopted uh without uh vote uh and the condemned Iran's actions. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Ms. Rahman Rahim, uh Mr. Chair, my delegation is compelled to exercise its right of reply in response to the remarks of remarks made by the representative of Bahrain. The Islamic Republic of Iran attaches great importance to maintaining friendly and constructive relations with all its neighbors, including Bahrain. My delegation categorically rejects Bahrain baseless allegations. And its attempt to distort the facts by portraying the victim of aggression as the aggressor, while concealing its own role in facilitating the unlawful aggression against Iran, which do not reflect Iran's longest standing commitment to good neighborhood relations, regional cooperation, and promotion of peace, stability and sustainable development in the region. The facts are clear, Iran is the victim of aggression and has exercised its inherent right of self defense in coherence with international law. States that enable enable disaggression aggression by providing their territories, military bases, or airspace cannot evide responsibility for their contribution to the To the resulting instability and threatening regional peace and stability. Iran always remains committed to good neighborliness. But good neighborliness cannot be a one sided commitment. We expect all estates to translate this commitment to this principle into concrete conduct by refraining from any support for or facilitating of aggression against Iran. Over decades, the Islamic Republic of Iran as a responsible state has continuously uphold the freedom of navigation as well as the safety and security of maritime navigation and has actualized them in maritime areas. This is an irrefutable fact. Such a distorted narrative also ignores the root causes of situation in the SATA for most. The ongoing aggression against Iran in violation of Article 2.4 of the Charter of the United Nations and subsequently unlawful attempts to impose a maritime blocket. Such measures aggravate tensions and undermine rather than protect maritime security and freedom of navigation. The aggressors use of a straight aforemost and the maritime space to commit attacks against Iran and to supply military bases placed at their disposal in the region has turned the straight aforemost into a into a battlefield. But Iran's legal possession on Security Council Resolution 2815 2026 formally circulated as a document S 2 2026 slash 202 and A 80 680. No attempts to distort the facts can absolve the aggressors and their complication of their international responsibility. I thank you.
🇧🇭 BahrainSecond replyin response to Islamic Republic of Iran
Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I requested the floor once again on behalf of the GCC to respond to the intervention by the representative of the Uh Islamic Republic of Iran. We emphasize that the allegations on Iran's com um related to Iran's commitment to the principles of the freedom of navigation contradicts the reality. The recent actions have directly targeted our nations and our civilian infrastructure as well as critical waterways, which represented a direct threat to freedom of navigation and the global economy. The attacks by Iran since the February twenty eighth have uh targeted non con uh conflict uh parties uh Iran has neglected this fact. Therefore any attempt to justify targeting these nations is categorically rejected. We reiterate that the international community was clear and decisive through uh c Security Council resolution twenty eight seventeen and the human rights council resolution. Uh it condemned uh Iran's violation of international law In addition to the International Maritime Organization that condemned the attacks against vessels and tankers. And we emphasize that this is not just a difference of narrative, but it relates to our commitment to international law and the maintenance of international peace and security. And we will continue our role in promoting regional peace and security and thank you, Mr Chairman.
🇮🇷 Islamic Republic of IranSecond reply
Thank you, Chair, for the second floor. Iran believes that the Persian Gulf leader possesses considerable economic, technological energy, and human resources that can be mobilized for shared prosperity. The Islamic Government of Iran attaches great importance to the maintaining of friendly relationship with all neighboring countries. As emphasized by the President of the Islamic Government of Iran at the 81st session of the General Assembly, Iran does not regard Its neighbors as a security rival. Iran firmly believes that a strong, secure, and prosper prosperous neighbors contribute to a to a stronger, more stable, and prosperous region. Iran firmly believes that the security and prosperity of the neighbors are inseparable from its own. Mr. Sher, political rhetoric could not change facts or laws. Aggression against my country was facilitated through the territory of certain countries in the region, all while international law imp imposes an indispensable obligation upon every estate not to allow its territory to be used for acts for acts contrary to the rights of other other states, as as affirmed by the International Court of Justice. Mr. Chairman. More specifically, Article 3F of the Annex of the General Assembly Resolution 3314 expressly identified as an act of aggression the action of a state in allowing territory placed at another estate's disposal to be used to perpetrate aggression against a third state. Likewise, aid and assistance to aggressors is not an act of neutrality. I thank you.
